The ASH at the Jalisco Agricultural Expo 2025: A Gathering with the Land and Its People

From May 7 to 9, 2025, Ciudad Guzmán, Jalisco, was the setting for the Jalisco Agricultural Expo—one of the most important events in Mexico’s agricultural sector. The Hispanic Social Assembly (HSA), represented by our national coordinator in Mexico, Marcela Guerra, actively participated in this event—not as a formality, but as an outstretched hand to the heart of the countryside.

Over the course of three days, mango, papaya, avocado, mezcal, and other producers shared their stories, challenges, and hopes with Marcela. What unfolded was more than just a trade fair; it was a deeply human gathering—authentic, energetic, and full of commitment. ASH didn’t come offering magical solutions; we came to listen, to learn, and to build together. From these exchanges came sincere invitations to visit farms, to see firsthand their strengths and weaknesses, and to forge a path of growth rooted in real knowledge of the land.

Because to transform, one must touch the soil, look others in the eye, and walk in the fields. That is what we are doing: building from the ground up, step by step, farm by farm collaborative platform where each producer becomes the protagonist of their own story. ASH reaffirms its commitment to walk alongside, not as an outsider, but as an active part of a fabric that grows stronger with every human bond.

What began in the halls of an expo now continues in the mountains, in the valleys, and in the fields of Jalisco. And this is only the beginning.
